July 29, 2014 – Wanted Sex Offender
On July 29, 2014, the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department initiated an investigation for a subject failing to register as a sex offender.
Edgardo Falcon, d.o.b. 11/17/76, a Level III Sex Offender, is required by the Sex Offender Registry Act to register any change of address within 10 days with the Division of Criminal Justice Services. As of August 18, 2014, Edgardo Falcon’s whereabouts are unknown and an arrest warrant has been issued for Failing to Register as a Sex Offender (Class D/Felony).
On November 16, 2007, Edgardo Falcon was convicted of failing to register as a sex offender, section 168-t Sub 02A, of the New York State Corrections Law (Class E/Felony).

UPDATE – Robbery Arrest
On Monday, July 14, 2014, the Town of Poughkeepsie Police arrested a seventeen year old male for a robbery that had occurred on Raymond Avenue during the evening hours of July 4, 2014. The 55 year old male victim of the robbery was thrown to the ground and suffered a broken arm as well as a laceration to the face from a knife. The suspect stole the victims I-Pad and cell phone. The victim was treated at Vassar Brothers Medical Center and released.
The defendant is indentified as:
Quaran Wills, Age 17
237 Hooker Avenue, Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
The defendant is charged with:
Robbery, 1st degree, B-Felony
Assault, 1st degree, B-Felony
The defendant was arraigned on July 14, 2014 and remanded to Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash / $100,000 bond bail.

July 4, 2014 – Robbery
On July 4, 2014 at about 10:25 pm, The Town of Poughkeepsie Police received a call from Vassar Brothers Hospital to report that a subject arrived at the hospital to be treated for injuries sustained from an armed robbery in the Arlington area.
The victim reports on this date at about 9:45 pm, he was chased by four male subjects and robbed of personal property in the area of Raymond Avenue and College Avenue in the Town of Poughkeepsie, NY. The primary suspect in the robbery struck the victim from behind. During the robbery, the victim suffered a laceration to his face as well as a broken arm.
The main suspect is described as a black male, 15-18 years old, 5′8′ – 5′10′, medium build, wearing green camoflauge pants, a black shirt with a picture of a face on the front. The other three suspects are described as being in their early teens.

July 1, 2014 – Shooting
At approximately 11:55 p.m. on June 30, 2014, the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department responded to a report of gunshots being fired in the vicinity of the parking lot for the VFW building located at 1 Violet Avenue in the Town of Poughkeepsie.
Responding officers located one male victim, age 20, who had suffered a gunshot wound to the torso. He was transported to the Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital by the Fairview Fire Department. A preliminary report indicates that his injuries may not be life threatening.
Early information indicates that a private party was being held at the VFW. Further details are the subject of the ongoing investigation.
